Awards – Exhibitions and Media

Over the years, Frantoio Bartolomei has shared its story of passion, care for the land, and a love of excellence through numerous awards, participation in industry trade shows, and media coverage. Here, we proudly collect awards, articles, events, and testimonials that have revealed our vision to the world: an oil mill rooted in tradition and open to the challenges of innovation.

This section is dedicated to those who wish to discover how our experience and our extra virgin olive oil have attracted the attention of professionals, enthusiasts, and journalists, and how our family-run business continues to make its mark on the Italian olive oil scene.

“The Most Beautiful Oil
Mill”

Frantoio Bartolomei in Montecchio has received the “The Most Beautiful Oil Mill” 2025 award, presented by Olio Officina and conceived by Luigi Caricato, to recognize mills that combine production excellence, architectural quality, and the ability to convey the culture of olive oil.

The recognition recognizes the company’s ability to combine tradition and innovation, creating a functional, welcoming, and technologically advanced space that is also culturally connected to the local area. Chiara Agostinelli, representing the fifth generation of the family, a symbol of continuity and future vision, accepted the award.

For the mill, the award represents an important milestone and an incentive to continue promoting Umbrian extra virgin olive oil and its production identity.

Exhibitions

CIBUS PARMA

Every participation in Cibus, a major international trade fair dedicated to the B2B agri-food sector, is much more than an event for us: it’s a concrete opportunity for growth, discussion, and vision.
Being present means showcasing the quality of our extra virgin olive oil to professionals, buyers, and partners from around the world, sharing values, expertise, and a passion for excellence. It’s a valuable opportunity for dialogue with the market, allowing us to listen, innovate, and strengthen relationships built over time.

We are on the
Gambero Rosso!

We are immensely proud of the Montecchio Olive Oil Museum, a facility we passionately desired, designed, and curated. Watching it grow, stand on its own two feet, and be appreciated by others, especially by an authoritative organization like Gambero Rosso, fills us with joy.

The guide’s online magazine has dedicated an article to olive oil museums in Italy and abroad, including our museum in a journey to discover extra virgin olive oil and the traditions associated with olive growing. Through its rooms, we guide visitors on a journey through the history and ancient production methods, offering an experience that goes beyond simple wine tourism, combining culture, tastings, and moments of relaxation immersed in the Orvieto hills.
